I am the Director of Marketing with over two decades in the hotel industry with the majority in hotel sales. During these years I have worked in hospitality, I have maintained positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of Customer Service, Operations, Business Development and Sales & Marketing. Strengths include, working in a dynamic and fast paced environment, multi-tasking on various projects while ensuring revenue goals are met in a timely manner. I am a highly motivated, results driven individual, eager to learn all angles of the hotel and travel industry which I believe makes me a well-rounded, excellent employee in any organization.
In addition to my primary role, I have also held committee member roles for the North Central BTA, MERC, have volunteered for the Ronald McDonald House as well as a participant in other charities such as Hope for the City and Children’s Miracle Network. I currently serve as an Advisory Committee Member for the Women in Leadership program with Minnesota State University Mankato.

Social media has become so critical in business success or failure but most hoteliers are not properly trained in its use or how to respond. The marketing teams create social media campaigns, work with influencers, and monitor user responses with reputation management tools to ensure every hotel puts their best foot forward.

Advertising continually changes. Only a few years ago, it was exclusively relegated to magazines, billboards, and TV. Now, we advertise on search engines and social media platforms. It is vital for any business to advertise, but even more essential is that funds for this are allocated efficiently and effectively. The marketing team partners with brands but also manages advertising campaigns in-house while making sure the return on ad spend (ROAS) makes business sense.
